Artex
Artex is not to everyone's liking but is still in demand. There are a variety of patterns which can be achieved from simple stipple effect to combed patterns. It can be applied to walls or ceilings and is simply painted once dry. Asbestos is not used in artex any more so it is safe, as a lot of people still think it is a harmful product. If anyone is considering removing artex please consult an expert as once inhaled can cause asbestosis. Artex can be plastered over to create a smooth flat surface rather than removing it all together. In some cases if the artex is of e really thick effect then it would be advisable to over board then skim.
